Natural Uplift Massage
You have no idea how amazing this treatment is until you try it for yourself!
Also known as Chinese Rejuvenation Massage; Japanese Face Massage; Indian Face Massage; Facial Rejuvenation; or Natural Facelift, this treatment has come from a blend of many effective techniques.
Essentially it involves a series of massage techniques that begins on relaxing the body as a whole and specifically the shoulder, neck and head which helps to reduce the stresses and strains that show on our faces. Using gentle hand and finger manipulations your facial muscles are strengthened and toned which helps prevent sagging skin and fine lines and minimises the aging process.
The process stimulates blood circulation which enables more nutrients including oxygen to be delivered more efficiently to the skin’s surface. The nervous system is stimulated as well as the lymphatic drainage which takes bacteria and toxins away from the skin. This leads to a brighter and improved complexion.
This is an advanced method of traditional facial massage which treats the surface and deep facial tissues.
When and how often?
Do it just for you, or for a special event. If it is for a special event you could have just the one treatment the same day though how long those results last will depend on each person. For those really big events such as mother (or father) of the bride, better to have one a week for a minimum of four weeks before the big event. Brides and Grooms would benefit too if they are feeling stressed. Maintenance is as and when you feel you could do with a top up. Otherwise you could have one treatment once a month, or however often, and see how you get on. Essentially, if you want to see more results then grouping a few treatments together is the thing to do. If looking after yourself could do with a kick start then what better way than a few of these non-invasive treatments weekly to support your other efforts.
Who can not have this massage:
If you are currently not well with fever, pain and infections such as colds, chicken pox, etc.; have an active cold sore or contagious illness; undergoing medical diagnosis for cancer or HIV etc; have an uncontrolled medical condition; severe acne which is sore or sunburnt skin; injectables such as Botox or fillers within the last three weeks; recent scar tissue; or in the first three months of pregnancy or have a history of miscarriage. GP letter may be required in some cases.
What to expect:
Please come with a clean face as this treatment uses light oil only. You will lay on a couch and be snuggled up. You will need to wear clothing that allows you to easily remove any straps or sleeves completely from the shoulder and upper arm areas. You will also have your shoes off as part of the treatment. Be warned that some of the treatment involves your head and scalp and whilst it is only the merest hint of oil on the fingers it will still affect your hair so bear that in mind for afterwards. At the end of the treatment you will be given water to drink. The massage lasts about 40 minutes but please allow one hour on your first session for consultation before hand.
Drink extra water! Work on the acupressure points triggers a response that can last three to five days. These acupressure points relate to the whole body and this treatment can stimulate them. Drinking extra water helps to flush through the toxins. Not drinking extra water can lead to existing dormant conditions such as colds or spots breaking out so please flush them through!
